Spanish Sustainable Economy Law

On 5th March has been published in the BOE Law 2/2011 about Sustainable Economy. This law is aimed to introduce in the legal system the necessary structural reforms to create conditions to encourage the sustainable economic development based on the following principles: improving the competitiveness, stability of public finances, rationalization of public administrations, promoting the innovative capacity of enterprises, savings and energy efficiency, promoting clean energy, reduction of emissions and effective treatment of residues; rationalization of residential construction, extension and improvement of the quality of education and promotion of lifelong learning and strengthening of the Social State warranty .
For the development of the different measurements, the law is structured in three main areas: improving the economic environment, improving the competitiveness of the economic Spanish fabric and the environmental sustainability. "
